You’re invited to join us at Hippo Hollow Country Estate for our Sabie River Bridge Sunset Dinner – an incomparable dining experience in Hazyview.

The evening begins with a welcome cocktail – a martini with hints of coconut, mango and of course Amarula. This is followed by a delectable starter platter featuring spring rolls, lamb frikkadels and crocodile kebabs.

Your main meal is completed on a mini coal cooker brought to your table. Highlights include ostrich fillet with raspberry and red peppercorn marmalade, slow cooked springbok potjie, kingklip and zucchini kebabs with wood roasted vegetables, corn and sweet potatoes.

For dessert, indulge in a selection of mini South African sweet treats, including koeksisters, vetkoek and mini milk tarts. You can find the full menu below.

Beef bobotie spring rolls with apricot and coriander chutney
Smoked snoek pate with preserved lemon and sesame toast
Lamb and apple frikkadels with minted yoghurt

Main Course

Completed on mini coal cooker on your table

Sabie River Bridge Sunset Dinner

What an amazing experience. The setting on the bridge is amazing with hippo’s below, super friendly staff serving all needs. The meal was a feast with various starters amoungst others Crocodile kebabs, the main was a unique self braai on a mini cooker with ostrich fillet, springbok potjie, Kingklip and veg, rounded off with a platter of deserts to die for, if you still had space.
An absolute must do.More
